El siguiente cuadro muestra diferentes temas de los que veremos este año en la clase de biología junto a la profesora Graciela Catalá.

¿Qué es la poesía visual?

La poesía visual es una representación de la palabra, utilizando imágenes, formas, colores, tamaños. La obra que elegimos es una poesía visual porque transmite un doble significado de la palabra representándolo con un objeto: La cinta. Esta obra trata de comunicar que los errores son comunes, de hecho la obra contiene un "error". Nos impactó la original forma en que fue representada.

Literary Essay

In L/L Writing we learnt how to write a literary essay, and after doing some activities we wrote one based on the story "The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde", by R. Louis Stevenson.

An essay on “The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde”

In the story “The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” written by Robert Louis Stevenson, the main character, Dr. Henry Jekyll is a scientist who is interested in creating a potion to separate the two sides of a human. As the story develops, his evil side, Mr. Edward Hyde takes control over him and finally takes him to death. The themes of this story, which are The Duality of Human Nature, Rational versus Irrational and Violence, will be explained in this essay as the centre of analysis.
In the story the main theme is “The Duality of Human Nature”, this theme explains that every person has two sides in their personality, a good side and a bad side. In this case, Dr. Jekyll drinks a potion to separate the two sides of his personality and his bad part, Mr. Hyde, becomes uncontrollable till the point to kill both, Dr. Jekyll and himself. This can be seen when it says “…retuned the doctor with a smile. But the words were hardly uttered, before the smile was struck out of his face and succeed by an expression of such abject terror and despair.” This explains how Mr. Hyde started gaining control over Dr. Hyde.
Other theme is “Rational versus Irrational” which explains that Dr. Jekyll is the rational part and Mr. Hyde is the irrational, because Dr. Jekyll is not the one who commits the crimes, whereas Mr. Hyde commits all the crimes knowing it is wrong, and he is amoral when Dr. Jekyll is moral. For instance when it says “And then came the horrible part of the thing, for the man trampled calmly over the child’s body and left her screaming on the ground.” Mr. Hyde was the guilty of all the crimes, he even hit a girl and left her lying on the floor.
The last theme is “Violence”  and it explains that Mr. Hyde commits crimes and murders people using violence and knowing it is wrong, while Dr. Jekyll is a gentleman and a well-known doctor in London. All the violent scenes take place at night, because it is when Mr. Hyde transforms. For example, in the chapter about the Carrew Murder Case it says “Although the fog rolled over the city in the small hours, the part of the night was cloudless” and after that, Mr. Hyde kills Mr. Carrew.
As a conclusion, we can say that this story I about a respected doctor who separates his good side from his evil side by drinking a potion, and finally his bad side takes control over the situation, commits many crimes and murders and in the end, he drags Dr. Jekyll and himself to death.

News Report: Japan Kill Dolphins

Jappanese kill dolphins

   In Japan this month, it has been found that fishermen are killing dolphins to sell their meet. People from other countries are not happy about this situation and they want to do something about it.

 Japannese people go to the ocean with boats or kayaks to kill them. They use knifes and special guns. After that, they distribute the dolphins to butchers all around the city.

  People in Japan are fine with this because they can eat delicious meat, but people in other countries are getting mad. For example, in Argentina the organization called "Greenpeace" is working on a plan to stop these murderers.

  There are different opinions about this. Some people think that killing dolphins is a horrible thing to do. Nevertheless, some others, mainly Japanese people, said that it was a great idea and that they want the meat.

El Momento Inesperado

En Lengua leímos varios cuentos escritos por Horacio Quiroga, y estudiamos las características de sus cuentos, la mayoría eran cuentos de casos psicopatológicos o cuentos donde se ve una borrosa frontera entre lo humano y lo animal. Luego de trabajar estos temas, tuvimos que escribir un cuento, de a dos, sobre alguno de estos temas, nosotras escribimos sobre un caso psicopatológico. Este es nuestro cuento.

El momento inesperado

 Iba caminando por la calle cuando sentí algo extraño, algo que jamás había sentido, algo inesperado. 

Un tiempo después me acerque a una señora y le dije:

- Siento algo dentro de mí, veo algo en ti. 

- ¿Qué pasa señor? – contestó ella algo preocupada.

- Yo sé que le ocurrirá en el futuro…

   Y no sé por qué, se alejó corriendo, gritando que había un loco, lo extraño fue que yo no vi ninguno.

   Al día siguiente, vi que mi perro necesitaba algo, y una fuerza del futuro vino a mí y me comunicó que mi perro saldría corriendo por la puerta trasera. De repente mi perro echó a correr, predije el futuro, sentí que debía ir a la calle a predecir el futuro de la humanidad.

   Enseguida me vestí y fui directo al centro de la ciudad. Cuando llegué, me subí a un banco y dije:

- Señoras y señores, vengan todos a mí, tengo un anuncio muy importante para comunicarles.- De repente la gente se acercaba a mí, me sentí poderoso. Todos me escuchaban, ya estaba listo para hablar.- Yo predigo el futuro y predeciré el de la humanidad.

   Al instante escuché carcajadas, todo se reían de mí, algunos gritaban que estaba loco y otros llamaban a la ambulancia. Me sentí muy triste y decepcionado, pero a pesar de eso dije lo que debía decir:

- Todos ustedes morirán. Los pájaros volaran. Y a todos ustedes los castigaran.

   Cuando acabé de hablar ya no quedaba nadie, solo una gorda señora mayor usando un delantal blanco y un sombrero con una cruz roja, jamás había visto una cosa así.

- Ven conmigo, te llevaré al paraíso- Dijo ella.

- ¿Me llevarás a Disney?- Pregunté entusiasmado.

   Sentí que me pinchaban con algo, todo a mi alrededor empezó a dar vueltas, y de repente no sentí nada.

   Al día siguiente me desperté en un cuarto blanco y pequeño, vestía un traje blanco que parecía un vestido. Mis manos estaban atadas a un candado.

   Empecé a golpear las paredes y a gritar, no entendía por qué estaba ahí y me sentía observado.

   Un tiempo después se abrió una puerta y la misma señora del día anterior apareció. 

- ¿Por qué estoy aquí? ¿Qué es esto? – Pregunté.

- Tranquilo, todo se solucionará. Usted está aquí porque tiene trastornos psicológicos.

- ¿Loco? ¿Piensan que estoy loco? – Dije gritando.

- Cálmese por favor.

- Usted será castigada, le pasará algo malo por hacerme esto a mí, lo siento, lo siento en mi alma, es una fuerza del futuro.

   La señora se acercó a mí con una jeringa en mano, y me pinchó el cuello, las paredes blancas se volvieron negras, todo se derrumbaba. Me caí.

   Unos minutos después me desperté, me dolía todo el cuerpo. Me levanté, estaba en el mismo cuarto blanco pero la puerta estaba abierta.

   Salí a la calle y empecé a recorrer las calles de la ciudad pero no había nadie, estaba todo vacío.

   Recorrí  la calle principal y todos los negocios estaban cerrados, las ventanas estaban rotas, los árboles estaban tirados en la calle interrumpiendo el paso y sus hojas volaban en círculos por toda la ciudad.

Durante todo el año estuvimos creando dibujos e intervenciones en educación artística junto a nuestra profesora Florencia Barletta. También, algunos trabajos los realizamos con la materia prácticas de lenguaje junto a la profesora Laura Smietnanski. A continuación les voy  a mostrar y a contar mis trabajos del año.

2_ Caligrama: Tuvimos que elejir 1 palabra que nos identifica. Mi palabra elejida es "COLOR". A partir de esa palabra teníamos que pensar otras palabra relacionadas a la principal y crear un caligrama.

3_ Composición con figuras geométricas planas: Este dibujo muestra lo que sentimos cuando hablamos de nuestra palabra, en mi caso "colores". 

4_ Composición con figuras geométricas planas representando una historia: Realizamos una historia corta a partir de ver los dibujos de las figuras geométricas de nuestro compañeros, luego a partir de eso hicimos un collage.

TRABAJOS: (MACBA, GALLERY NIGHT)

POESÍA VISUAL
A principio del año visitamos el museo contemporáneo llamado"MACBA". Allí vimos muchas obras de arte pero hubo una que nos llamó la atención. Entonces discutimos que nos llamaba la atención de esos y a partir de esas palabras realizamos un collage con letras. Aquí esta el dibujo:

Luego de realizar el dibujo, en grupos realizamos una intervención en cualquier parte del colegio. Nosotros elejimos en la tarima, acá esta nuestra intervención:

GALLERY NIGHT

Este año nuestro ccolegio cumple 25 años, entonces decidimos realizarle una poesía. Esta es la poesía:

Aún sigo teñida de colores 

Si apostamos por el cariño y la sinceridad

Encontraremos el amor y la amistad,

Construyendo felicidad.

Con una cucharita de esperanza

liberaras tu confianza.

Colores somos, que brillan y crecen

En la mente libremente

Entregando mi corazón con toda mi pasión. 

MODELO:

Run as fast as you can

In the subject LL writing we are working with short stories, so the teacher proposed us to make one of it. We thought some ideas to write it, until we choose one of those ideas and we started to write. The story I wrote is called "Run as fast as you can" and my story have to finish with the sentence, "that was the last time he ever saw them". Here is my story:

One day, Jimmie woke up in a place he didn´t know. He didn´t remember anything. He was very scared, so he started to walk. When he was walking he saw some men running to him, so he started to run very fast until he stumbled on a branch. Jimmie was desesperated so he started to say:
"I am a victim, I don´t remember anything, please! don´t kill me".
"Oh! look Rob, he is a victim of the NTVD, like us", said Tom.
"That´s true Tom", said Rob
"What´s happening? I don´t understand anything", wondered Jimmie.
"Are you sure that you don´t remember anything?", asked Rob.
"I am trying to remember something, but my mind is all white", exclaimed Jimmie.
"Okay, you need to sleep and to relax, then we are going to speak about this", said Rob.

After an hour, Jimmie woke up so he went to talk with the men:
"Please, can you tell me where I am?", asked Jimmie.
"We are going to explain it to you", exclaimed Christian.
"We are five men that for one year and a half we were victims of the NTVD", told Lamark.
"And what is this place?" wondered Jimmie.
"NTVD, it´s a company who steals boys who are seventeen years old, they clean their minds and they lock in a labyrinth without an exit to investigate them" said Rob.
"They are so cruel! and, which are your names?" exclaimed Jimmie.
"Tom, Rob, Christian, Lamar and Tris" told Tom.
"Nice! my name is... mmm.... I don´t remember" said Jimmie
"We will call you Jimmie", all the men said.

One day later, Jimmie was thinking and he remembered one thing. When he was little he drew lots of mazes and his grandpa told him that every maze has an exit. He decided to find an exit in the maze because he wouldn´t stay in this labyrinth. Later, he went to talk with the other boys. Jimmie  asked them if they wanted to find an exit with him, all the boys were scared but they wanted to escape the maze. Everyone accepted except for Rob, the leader.
The following day, they were prepared to go out from the middle of the maze, so he started to walk. They were frightened but Jimmie encouraged them. Two hours later, they hear a strange noise, it was a strange cat. All the boys went to caress the cat, but a noisy alarm started to sound and the cat started to hurt all the boys so they ran away.
Fortunately, no one died. Then Jimmie saw a long tunnel, so he started to hear that alarm again and there were lots of those strange cats running at them very quickly.
Luckily, Jimmie saw a door in the roof, it was the exit! everyone was alive and very happy tey went to their houses and that was the last time he ever saw them.
